Well Clover and I made it at far as Vaughan, Ontario yesterday and decided to stop for the night rather than push any farther. As you may have noticed, she's signed up last night on this messageboard so make sure you all welcome her here.

Thanks for all the great memories...This may have been a convention that was lower in attendance, but not diminished in the level of spirit. Plus I think there may have been over a dozen fans that called in to speak to us at some time during the convention...Never saw the STC main line or others cell phones so busy. Just another testament that if you could have been here, you would have been.

The economy has been tough in recent days but facing the difficulties and uncertainty with courage is something we've learned from Shania and so as we get past this economic hiccup we can always sing, Up Up UP can only go Up from here. :D

Looking forward to next August already and this one isn't yet finished but the wait will be worth it and lets keep our fingers crossed that many of you who missed this years convention for any reason will find your way back to Timmins for Fan/Con 8 in 2010.

We'll we're off and running toward the good 'ol US of A now. Fan/Con 7 keeps slipping further and further away in the rear view mirror.....but the memories we made are traveling with me Forever And For Always.

Me too. I'm definately planning to be there next year again. Missed you guys too much this year! But it was great to talk to most of you on the phone.

Glad to hear almost everyone got a safe trip home or at least is on his/her way home

I got back home today at about 1:30 pm. Then I had to be at work 2 hours later and put in an eight shift. Boy, was it long. Of course my mind was still in fan/con mode. It sure was so much fun and such a memorable experience as always. I didn't make it up to Timmins until saturday but what memories I will always have, that I got in 2 days.

Oh Bonnie you must be so tired!!!! I don't know how you were able to do it but I can tell you it was so nice to see you for those 2 wonderful days!!!!

I arrived home safely just over 1 hour ago.

This fan convention was another memorable experience. Each convention is unique with certain things that happen, and most of them aren't even planned!!! Once again Tracy and the STC staff did a tremendous job and provided all of us with a super time!!! I can't wait until next year!!

I'm thankful everyone is arriving home safely and letting us know.

Stay in touch and be sure to try to convince one or two people to attend with you next year.

We might have passed in traffic. I was over in your area about 4-5 pm. Scouting out a good meeting site in some eateries, for my neighborhood watch groups.

Sammy's is a possibility, with separate meeting room. Leo's Lodge is a dive. Fazolli's is an Italian fast food joint - I didn't know that. Applebees has good food and decent prices as I found out with our first group. However they're not set up for meetings, and are too noisy to communicate on potentially sensitive topics. Finley's is similar to Applebees, except probably not quite as good. Delhi Cafe is used by many retiree groups for meetings and meals. Neat, clean, cushy with a good menu at decent prices. Rather boring service and atmosphere in this family restaurant. But they have plenty of space, with a quiet area & large table off to one corner for dinner meetings. Also have a large private room, but it's for 20-80 people, not the 6-7 person groups I'd have.

How was your trip home? Did your come thru Mackinaw City, similar to the way up?

Our air conditioners have been getting a good work out the last few days. We had quite a thunderstorm Monday evening. All my clocks were winking at me the next morning, due to the electricity being off for a while. Dentist office asked me me over the phone, if I could make it there by 11:45 am. I couldn't say, because I couldn't see the time. One of my crowns had come off during the weekend. So long as my halo hasn't slipped too far, I'll be content.

Nope, I was busy unpacking during that period. Yes, I came home similar to the route going up, but I came back by Route 129 to Thesselon instead of Route 101 to Wawa and then Route 17 to the Soo. Spend last night with my mom in Mackinaw City so I could fill her in on the details and break the 12+ hour drive over two days.

Clover and I had dinner last night at a Bostons Pizza but we didn't eat pizza...Had pasta and wings instead....Our conversation was dominated by all that went on at the convention, laughing at the memories and recalling the experiences and conversations we had.

Never thought I'd see Clover register as a member on this site and have such lengthy conversations as we've had about the convention. But I know she had a great time...was there any doubt?....And yes, she confirmed to you all that I'm the loud silly guy whether she is or isn't therewith me...... Goofy happens !!!!

We slept in and hit the road late in the morning. Had about an hour wait crossing the bridge from Sarnia to Port Huron. When it was our turn, we were given the easy treatment once we told them our purpose was attending a Shania Fan Convention...... One look at our glowing smiles and he knew we were harmless and full of positive vibes.

Stopped and my sisters home to freshen up, make a quick pit stop at a book store to get the new books Clover wanted and then got here clear on directions home and sent her on her way. Just got a text message that she is now home safe.

Glad to hear the others are arriving home in good order. I miss all of you guys already.....I'm remembering something that CBSpock said in one of our conversations over the course of the convention....."Even though it's been a year, it's like we haven't been apart that long". There is something very special about Shania Twain fans.....It's really hard to explain it...it's one of thjose things you have to experience but once you do....wow....what a fun ride. I am so grateful for everyone of you out there....Those who have attended past conventions and those who have only visited with us in spirit though this website.

Life is a good thing if we learn to appreciate it. And that is really the greater celebration, simply accented with the good things that Shania has shared with us.

I love you all !!!! Thanks for being my friend. :D

That 129 is like a roller coaster ? I was wondering when it would end....

I stayed at Thesselon on Sunday night and I got to the museum at 4 on Monday in Wis .... I even made it to the Arctic Cat factory in Thief River Falls Mn for the 1 o'clock tour on Tue .... so a nice way to end my trip .... :D
