Just to let all of you know that today is Tracy's last day at the STC.

On behalf of everyone who has been to the STC over the years, thanks for your commitment to the Centre.

Hopefully your new boss will treat you right.

Ren

Tracy's new boss, seems to have pleased most employees, over the years.

It is hard to get my head around some of this, on Tracy's last day at the STC. Tracy has poured her heart and soul into the STC, making it's visitors feel at home, and especially treating fan convention goers, like treasured family members.

Now such personal investment will no longer continue, tho the memories go on. The fans who came, loved it, appreciated it, and spoke as eloquently as they could about it. Yet other fans did not come to the conventions in numbers high enough to continue that event this year.

Maybe Tracy's new job, will put her ability and dedication to use, in ways that are deep, enduring and widespread.

We had a good send off for Tracy last night. Lots of stories and smiles all around.

Thanks a lot Ren.

That would've been great to capture on video and show or share with those from afar, who are most interested. Tracy has lots of wonderful stories, with great insight and sensitivity. I have been in on a few personally. She also has an unusually well developed sense of humor, partly related to the nationality of her maiden name.

I finally got a video camera last year, and have started learning how to use it. Other than the mechanics and controls, I am surprised how much cross over there is, from knowing well, how to use a digital still camera. Well, I guess I still remember some things also, from a semester I took at Univ of Michigan, almost a lifetime ago. There I took turns running one of 3 huge studio cameras on wheels, and the other basic roles necessary for live broadcast of TV.

My personal brief encounters with Tracy during the opening of the Centre were great. Beyond that, she helped me out a number of times over the years by e-mail. I certainly wish her all the best.

Steve

I trust that Tracy will still check in and read this board from time to time.

I want to thank you Tracy for all the effort and love you have poured into running the STC over the years. You have made the Centre fan friendly not just in the exhibits but also, and more importantly, on a person to person basis. Your responsiveness to individual fans is legendary and never more so than at fan convention time. You created an atmosphere in which we all feel like family.

As for a fan convention this year, I really don’t think it would be possible for whoever replaces you to properly set one up in time. It would be much better, I think, for this unnamed person to take control of the STC as a whole first and that takes time. As for future fan conventions, well, that may depend in part at least on how Shania’s career goes. Understandably, the number of fans dwindles when there is almost no new music for a decade. The number of fans willing to go to the considerable effort and expense needed to go to fan conventions year after year would necessarily dwindle anyway even if Shania’s career had remained at peak level.

So thanks again, Tracy, and good luck to your successor.

Dear Tracy,

I only have your City of Timmins email and I guess that will not work anymore. So I will just post my thoughts here, I guess they are similar to everyone else. Chris has filled me in on the background. I would like to thank you for the many many happy memories you helped give me, not only me of course but everyone who came to the Centre. I wish you luck should you wish to go back to work in your new job when ever and where ever that may be. I guess it will be nice not to have to Work this fall Hi... Thanks Tracy, Hugs and Kisses from Malta

There are several - all around the globe - who are ready to claim, they all love Tracy to bits.

Tracy, please take all that love & understand, it's meant to be combined into one.

Take Care,

John - ;)

Hi there,

Well, I've been at my new job with Shania Kids Can for just over a week and I truly love it. There are many new challenges, but I look forward to everyone of them. Be sure to watch for the new website coming soon at www.shaniakidscan.com and also make sure you check out our facebook page. You can always send me a personal message on here as well, because I will certainly check this site as often as I can. I'm sure I'll see many of you again!!

Take care, and thank you so much for the kind words....I enjoyed my time with the STC!

Tracy

Wow that was fast Tracy, Thought you would have had a wee break between jobs, but new one sounds great and I am sure you will be very good in the new position. I will be back visiting Timmins in 2013. Enjoy the new challenges and don't forget to have fun too.

This comes as a surprise to me. Tracy I am so sorry to see you leave. I was hoping one day to bring 4 generations of Shania Fans to a fan convention. My mom is 94 and although in relatively good health, other circumstances prevent from doing this.
Tracy, I wish you the very best!!
