Well today Tom and I stopped by one of the local stores and purchased a nice looking ceramic pot and a few styrofoam blocks and a flag to get the display going for when the fans arrive for fan/con 3 in August. Even bought a Canadian flag to get it started. Certainly will be more of those added once our other fellow Canadians bring theirs.....Anyway, we left this on Tracy's chair in her office so she can put it into safe keeping until we can all add our flags later on and make an international bouquet of flags from Shania fans. Can't wait to see what it looks like once everyone adds their own flag to the bunch.

Well as the Union Jack is now a symbol of England, having been seen countless times on the international news media in less than perfect situations....

Scotland, Ireland and Wales will all bring there own flags as we will not want to be associated with English football!

Hey fellow fans that'll be coming to the fan convention this year....How about this for an idea.........

Everyone that comes to the fan convention bring a small version of your country flag.....you know, the kind you wave at a parade.

Small size like 10cm high x 15cm long (4" high x 6" long) attached to a stick that is about 20cm (8"). Then we could have a styrofoam mount or other type of holder to put them in at the Thursday evening Meet -n- Greet for display in the STC somewhere. For those from the USA you could bring either an American flag or your state flag. This would make a colorful display and truely be an eye opener to look as and see the wonderful worldwide diversity of Shania fans everywhere. I think such flags should only cost a couple of dollars at the most and should be easily available for purchase in your countries.

So what do you think? It might look really cool. And it would be yet another evidence that Shania's music really does make the world a better place.

:D

I saw one czech flag here in the tourist info center, but it's bigger than 10cm x 15cm :) . Will you mind?

Sure !!! it will be great to have your flag in the collection. Send it to the attention of Tracy Hautanen at the STC address! She'll be happy to add it to the bouquet of flags. :D
