Well, I don't vote on those contests. But I took a look at the link.

I'm a bit surprised to see FAFA as the (only) suggested song of the decade. Were her other top songs in an earlier decade?

I thought I saw TWO songs from Faith Hill for people to vote on. I was surprised to see her hubby on TV recently, looking very young and talking more candid than usual. He said something about how she likes to make all the decisions for them.

Also a bit surprised to see Josh Turner's voting option as Long Black Train. It might be a good song, but I saw and heard him in a different music video a couple years ago or so, which I liked better. Might've been "Your Man". Not quite as smooth and polished, but a great swinging rhythm and lively lyrics, to go with that great bass voice with good range.

I'm trying to remember a distinctive duo I liked years ago. Was it Olivia Newton-John, with some bass vocalist? He sang right thru her, but in a great contrapuntal-deferential way. Yep, Mike Sammes. The song I noticed most and liked best was "Let Me Be There". Awesome.

Another male-female vocal contrast duo with unusually good audio effect, was "Stumblin' In" by Suzy Quatro with Chris Norman as her partner.

I think Shania and Josh Turner could knock people's socks off in a similar way. They've both got the voices. She may have more charisma for a while yet. But given their ages, (he was born in 1977) there'll be a limit to how long she could match his youthful looks. His religiosity may be a bit distancing, but music can usually transcend such things.

If they put out a single together, showcasing each other's best characteristics, but in a duo, "..., I'd have to get that song for sure."
