Hey fellow fans that'll be coming to the fan convention this year....How about this for an idea.........

Everyone that comes to the fan convention bring a small version of your country flag.....you know, the kind you wave at a parade.

Small size like 10cm high x 15cm long (4" high x 6" long) attached to a stick that is about 20cm (8"). Then we could have a styrofoam mount or other type of holder to put them in at the Thursday evening Meet -n- Greet for display in the STC somewhere. For those from the USA you could bring either an American flag or your state flag. This would make a colorful display and truely be an eye opener to look as and see the wonderful worldwide diversity of Shania fans everywhere. I think such flags should only cost a couple of dollars at the most and should be easily available for purchase in your countries.

So what do you think? It might look really cool. And it would be yet another evidence that Shania's music really does make the world a better place.

:D

Nice idea, Richard. I guess my Canadian flag is pretty boring in Timmins.

Great idea!
I'll make sure to bring a Brazilian flag if I go to the Fan Con!

What? You're not coming to fancon? :?:

I'm just kidding of course, although we'd love it if you can make it. And I promise, you won't regret it. You'll have a great time. :)

I know I won't regret it! I sure hope I can go to the Fan Con, and meet you folks, you all seem to be a lot of fun!
But I'm not sure what my parents will say when I ask them "Can I cross the border all by myself and go to northern Ontario?"

By the way, does anyone know if a minor (I'm 19) on a L2 Visa can cross the border alone? That information would help a lot. :)

I'm not sure what an L2 Visa is, so I can't answer that question for you. Sorry. :(

However, in the USA, you are no longer considered a minor. The legal age for most things, except drinking in the US is 18. So as long as your Visa status doesn't have some restrictions, and you can convince your parents, you are of a legal age to cross the boarder on your own.

L2 means: family of a intra-corporate transfered employee. Or something like that. In other words, my father has a L1 visa, because he was transfered at his job. Me, my mother and sisters, as his direct family, have an L2 Visa.
We can go back and forth from Canada anytime, I'm just not sure if I'm considered a minor in Canada or not and if I can go alone.

Thanks for the help! :)

Ok, in that case you should be fine. I'm pretty sure that Canada also considers 18 to be the legal age. Ren or someone else from Canada can confirm that for us, when they check in next.
